CapeCup Welcomes Cafféluxe South Africa

Continuing the Cafféluxe legacy with new investment, greater capacity and more ways to enjoy great coffee

We’re pleased to share that the owners of CapeCup and BioAfrica have acquired Cafféluxe South Africa, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the much-loved local coffee brand.

For years, Cafféluxe has helped make premium coffee more accessible to South Africans through its range of coffee capsules and machines, available locally through Takealot. Now, that offering is set to grow.

A dedicated Cafféluxe South Africa retail website is currently in development, which will give customers direct access to the full local range. Behind the scenes, significant investment in new packing machinery and equipment for both aluminium and compostable coffee pods will substantially increase production capacity and help ensure continuous, reliable supply.

Honouring Kevin’s Legacy of Success 

The acquisition follows the passing of Cafféluxe founder, Kevin Katz, and is grounded in immense respect for the business he created, the relationships he built and his vision for making a premium coffee experience more accessible.
